Extending table seating up to 10 with chairs. 2 triple dressers, one full of books, maps & local information, & indoor games, the other crockery, cutlery and glasses. 2 three-seater sofas, coffee table, glass fronted log burner, stairs to upstairs bedrooms.

Glass fronted log burner, 2 three-seater sofas, coffee table, 17" combi TV and Hi-fi & DVD Player.

BEDROOM 1
Good quality pocket-sprung zip & link 3ft twin beds or superking double. One double & one treble wardrobe, chest of drawers, above-bed reading lights.

Ensuite SHOWER-ROOM
Shower, washbasin and WC

Separate BATHROOM

KITCHEN / DINER
Well equipped with double bowl sink, fitted floor & wall units, pine dresser, large upright fridge-freezer, LPG gas cooker with grill & auto-timer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee percolator, cutlery, crockery, glasses & cooking utensils all of good quality, wine rack, vegetable rack.

INDOOR GAMES ROOM
Table-tennis, darts board, basket-ball net, also contains outdoor games such as junior football & cricket, badminton, baseball, swingball, boulles, giant tower game etc.
Table with maps & comprehensive local and tourist information.

Indoor GAMES
Stored in the dresser in the lounge/diner. Monopoly, scrabble, cards, trivial pursuits, articulate, box of 100
games, jigsaws etc.

BOOKS
Many interesting books including local guide and wine books on the Loire Valley areas. French & English history, birds, trees, insects.

SWIMMING POOL
10mx5m with roman steps and underwater lighting. Depths
from 1m /1.7m. Pool heated to 28 deg c from May to September.
The pool is lined so no sharp objects are allowed in or around the
pool. Some pool games equipment provided.

GARDEN & POOL FURNITURE
Picnic tables, deck chairs, sun umbrellas, sun loungers,
charcoal BBQ

TENNIS COURT
Acrylic surface. We insist on non-marking proper tennis
shoes being worn.

SECURITY & SAFETY
Smoke detectors, first aid kit, kitchen fire blanket & fire extinguisher, upstairs floor level windows
have adjustable openers and childproof locks can be provided. There is a small electronic safe in the house for your use.

WATER
Extremely good mains pressure. Drinkable tap water.

ELECTRICITY
240V 50Hz i.e. same as UK but need adapters as French sockets are different from UK.

HEATING
Outside the summer months the house is heated by LPG gas central heating throughout the main house supplemented by glass-fronted wood burners in downstairs sitting room and sitting room/dining room.

PARKING Ample parking available on gravel drive.

DESCRIPTION FOR B&B

As above for the Farmhouse Gite but B&B guests will not have access to the kitchen, ground floor bedroom 1 and its ensuite shower room or the downstairs sitting room. However, access to the separate bathroom to use the bath is available by request.  

The Sitting room/ Dining room is for B&B guests but guests will not be allowed to bring their own food or drink into the Sitting room/ Dining room.   B&B guests are provided with tea/coffee making facilities.

For all our B&B, Farmhouse and Cottage Gite guests we offer:-

Optional Evening Meal including local wine @ 20 €uros (approx. £14).

Guests requesting an evening meal are asked to let us know in advance of anything they do not wish to eat.
The meals are 'Tables d'Hôte' style, which means that normally there is not a choice of menu.

DETAILS OF CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST & SAMPLE MENUS:

Continental breakfast: Orange or apple juice; yogurt; fresh warm french bread and warm croissants;
choice of jams; honey; marmalade; tea of coffee.
2 large eggs with toast, scrambled, fried or boiled = 1.5 €uros extra per person.
We are happy for you to supply your own cereal and we will supply you with your milk free of charge.

DINNER MENUS

1^st course examples:-

1. Green salad with smoked salmon, fresh herbs and dressing served with fresh bread and butter.
2. Green salad with avocado pear, fresh herbs, chopped walnuts and dressing, served with fresh bread and butter.
3. Hot savoury tart with green salad and fresh bread and butter.
4. Pate/cold meats bought locally, with fresh bread and butter.

2^nd course examples:-

1. Chicken breasts, pan-fried with garlic in a crème-fraiche and mustard sauce served with new potatoes and fresh vegetables.
2. Coq au Vin served with creamed potatoes or rice.
3. Tasty Pork casserole served with creamed potatoes or rice and fresh vegetables.
4. Beef Bourguignon served with creamed potatoes and fresh vegetables.
5. Salmon or Trout fillet pan fried/steamed served with potato 'dauphinois' and fresh vegetables.
6. Salads with meat or fish or eggs of various descriptions by request.

3^rd course examples:-

1. Fresh fruit salad with crème fraiche.
2. Tarte de Citron with single cream or crème fraiche.
3. Crème Brulee
4. Fresh fruit flan with single cream or crème fraiche.
5. Home made chocolate gateau with single cream or crème fraiche

4^th course:-

• Selection of cheeses with fresh bread or french-style biscuits.

An aperitif, local white wine, red wine or french beer, and coffee or tea included.
